Kayla Brown has suprise party for eighteenth birthday

Kayla Elizabeth Brown of Elberton, granddaughter of Betty Dobson of Tignall, was given a surprise 18th birthday party at Mimi's Japanese Steakhouse in Greenville, S.C., on March 3.

As Kayla entered the restaurant with a friend everyone sang "Happy Birthday." She received a beautiful arrangement of flowers and gifts.

After the surprise birthday lunch, all the guests went to Greer, S.C., to the home of Robert and Amy Winecoff, aunt and uncle of Kayla. She had a beautiful birthday cake with a Volkswagen on top since she had wanted a car for her birthday.

Guests celebrating with Kayla were her parents, Mark and Carole Ann Brown, and brother Teddy of Elberton; grandmother, Betty Dobson of Tignall; aunt and uncle, Robert and Amy Winecoff, Kierstyn and Zachery of Greer, S.C.; Kelly Warren of Simpsonville, S.C.; and Brandon Barrett of Elberton.
