Frances C. Arnett Funeral services for Frances C. Arnett, 85, were held Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Cherry Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Belton officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died Monday, February 26, at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Mrs. Arnett was a native of Wilkes County and was the daughter of the late Henry Turner and Rebecca Hayes. She was a faithful member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church. She retired after 43 years from domestic maintenance services for Dr. W.C. Branan. Survivors include a daughter, Gloria J. Booker; five grandchildren, Vanessa T. Thomas, Valerie R. Haley, Frederick V. Taylor, Cheryl M. Murray, and Felicia A. Murray; and four great-grandchildren. Members of the Cherry Grove Deacon Board served as pallbearers.
Davenport & McLendon Mortuary, Inc., was in charge of arrangements.
