Bobbie Franklin Bradford

A memorial service for Bobbie Franklin Bradford, 70, of Bartram Trace in Wilkes County was held Saturday, March 3, 2007, at the Phillips Mill Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Rayner officiating. He died Thursday, March 1, at his home.

Mr. Bradford was a native of Newbern, Tenn., and had lived in Wilkes County for about 10 years. He was a United States Navy retiree, having served in the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Santiago Bradford, of Wilkes County; three sons, Edward Bradford, Gettysburg, Penn., Robert Bradford, Newport News, Va., and Joseph Bradford, St. Marys, Calif.; three daughters, Yolanda Braxton, Washington, Dora Deiro, Corona, Calif., and Barbara Sutera, Rochester, N.Y.; 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one greatgreat grandchild.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
