Samantha Thornton and Brent Parker honored at shower

PERSONALITIES!

Engaged couple Samantha Thornton and Brent Parker were entertained at a chicken barbecue and "Stock the Bar" shower on Saturday evening, February 17, at the home of Roger and Jennifer McAvoy on Lexington Road. Hosts with the McAvoys were Laura Ellen McAvoy and Rachel Thomas of Atlanta, Tim and Ginger Miller of Rayle, Aubrey Miller of Athens, Tim and Ann Hansford of Watkinsville, Liz Hansford of Augusta, Ginny King and Skeet Willingham of Washington.

Casual attire was the dress for the evening and the bride-elect wore jeans with a blue top. She was presented a corsage of roses and daisies tied with white and red ribbon and accented with a ladybug.

Tables were decorated with tin buckets, red and black bandanas and candles for dinner.

The hosts presented the couple crystal champagne flutes.

Thirty guests attended.
