Engaged couple entertained at party February 10

Daisy Thornton and Benji Lewis of Statesboro were guests of honor at an engagement party Saturday, February 10, at The French Quarter in Statesboro hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Brian Glenn of Statesboro.

For the occasion Miss Thornton chose grey velvet pants and a black sweater.

White linens covered the tables decorated with arrangements of roses and rose petals in various shades of pink. Quotes of love and marriage on seared parchment paper were scattered about the tables also.

Delicious hors d'oeuvres were served during the evening.

Live entertainment for the evening was furnished by the local band, Uncle Dank.

The hosts presented the couple a $100 gift certificate to The French Quarter.

Special guests for the evening included the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Reeves and Charles Ray Thornton of Washington, and the prospective bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jan Price of Statesboro.
