But God

This preacher preached a sermon once entitled "But God."

I thought about that and realized that there has been a lot of "But God" in my life - near death accidents, but God was there; in severe trouble, but God was with me. I could have lost my life at the hand of someone, but God stayed the hand of death.

I was lost and undone without God or His son, but God found me. I was spiritually blind, but God made me see. I was bound, but God set me free. I was going down a path of destruction, but God turned me around.

I was on my way to a devil's hell, but God saved, sanctified, and filled me with the sweet Holy Ghost. I was sinking down into a miry pit of clay, but God rescued me.

I was a wretched sinner, but God saved a wretch like me. Can you say amen?
