Study the history, study for the future
Surrounded by displays from the Black Heritage Youth Expo, students study and do their homework in an

afterschool program at the Booker Center. The traveling heritage exposition included museum exhibits on black

pioneers, astronauts, athletes, scholars, and artists. Inspired by the achievements of those on display, students TheNews- tackled their homework after school or just read for enjoyment, they said.
