Troop 34 camps at Spring Fling
Boy Scouts of Troop 34 attended the 2007 Georgia-Carolina Council Spring Fling this last weekend. Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts from Georgia and South Carolina gathered in northern Jefferson County for a weekend of camping, developing skills, fellowship, and fun. "Troop 34 did especially well," leader David Jenkins said, "earning awards in Patrol Flag, Camp Set-up, and Pioneering." The Scouts also participated in the pot luck Dutch oven dinner with a meal of chicken pot pie, Cajun corn, monkey bread, and baked apples. Boy Scouts attending the 2007 Spring Fling were (l-r): Watson Widemon, Doug Standard, Mason Klaus, Adam Standard, and Walker Hargrove. The Boy Scouts are standing at their Pioneering Project Camp Gateway.
