Katherine Marie Jones Walter Edward Burdette IV

Kenneth L. Jones of Thomson announces the engagement of his daughter, Katherine Marie, to Walter Edward Burdette IV, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ray Hardy and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Edward Burdette III of Washington.

The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Kay Pearson Jones. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Nason of Thomason and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ervin Pearson.

Miss Jones is a 2001 graduate of Briarwood Academy in Warrenton and is currently attending Augusta State University where she is majoring in Early Childhood Education.

Mr. Burdette is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Edward Burdette Jr. of Washington and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Eugene Jones of Lincolnton.

He is a 2000 honor graduate of Briarwood Academy and is em- ployed at Burdette Mill and Gin Inc. in Washington.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 26, at 6 p.m. at Fountain Campground in Warrenton.
