'Captain' Dixon Caddell treated to Pirate Party for fifth birthday

Dixon Caddell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Caddell, was five years old on February 20 and celebrated on several occasions.

Dixon enjoyed a special birthday dinner with his parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Caddell.

On his birthday Dixon shared snacks with his classmates at First United Methodist Church Pre-Kindergarten.

Dixon celebrated on Sunday, February 25, with a Pirate Party at his home. To "round up the crew" "Captain Dixon" delivered to each pirate a "message in a bottle" noting the date and time the ship would sail.

As the crew arrived, they were given bandanas, beads, earrings, rings and eye patches and were dressed as pirates. The pirates then boarded the home ship for rowdy pirates games. During this time, Dixon's mom painted the faces of the daring members of the crew.

After traditional party festivities, Dixon's daddy presented a treasure map and Dixon led the crew on a hunt for the hidden treasure. The search was successful and the crew uncovered enough loot for everyone.

As the ship docked, crew members were sent "back out into the world" with swashbuckler swords to help protect their new treasure!

Joining Dixon and his parents were Mr. and Mrs. Shane Moore, Lindsey and Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Walker, Olivia, Jackson, Ford and Wilkes, Mark Bryngleson Jr., Mrs. Michelle Fisher, Hailey and Dale, Mrs. Michael Moore and Evan, Jake Newsome and Mrs. Ed Pope III and Wesley.
