W-W Garden Club members attend Camellia Day

In lieu of their regular meeting date and time, the Washington- Wilkes Garden Club traveled to Augusta on Wednesday, March 7, to attend the 50th celebration of Camellia Day.

Festivities were held at the Augusta Country Club.

A delicious luncheon and program were presented.

Tables for the luncheon were centered with mirrors decorated with ivy topiaries surrounded with multicolored camellias.

A most interesting program was presented by Tia of Thailand who sculpted flowers using a special soap formula. Each one present received a sculpted flower as a favor.

Attending from the club were Celeste Adams, Faye Durham, Mabel Johnson, Edna Rhodes, Doris Rhodes, Pat Mack, Sara Frances Henderson, Linda Burns, Mary Webster, Sally Kennedy, and guest, Becky Dixon.
