Cornelia Johnson Circle meets at Bell home Mar. 6

Pauline Bell was hostess for the meeting of the Cornelia Johnson Circle of the First United Methodist Church in her home Tuesday evening, March 6.

Laura Toburen presided and Mrs. Bell led the opening devotional.

During the business meeting, Linda Smith gave the sunshine report, Kay Bray, the flood bucket mission report, and Mrs. Toburen, the Tour of Homes Luncheon plans.

Mrs. Toburen led the program concerning the persecution of Christians in the Sudan. After her presentation, members planned to send blankets through the Voice of the Martyrs to aid the people in this and other areas. Bibles will be sent with the blankets as a part of the Bible and Blanket Ministry. This project will be opened to the entire church family and will be the Easter mission project.

In addition, the group collected money to send with the summer missionaries to Moldova.

Easter cards were signed by members that will be sent to the shut-ins during the holiday.

The next meeting will be April 10 at Mrs. Toburen's home.

Mary Bradford was welcomed as a guest. Members attending with Mrs. Bell were June Durden, Linda Smith, Dianne Thornton, Gale Seibert, Laura Toburen, Kay Bray, Rose Newby, Lefreda Adair, Bunny Gunby and Alice Lindsey.
