Recorder music set at Presbyterian church for Sunday, March 18

The Athens Recorder Ensemble will present a concert at the Washington Presbyterian Church on Sunday afternoon, March 18, at 4 p.m.

The program, entitled "Recorder Music Through the Ages," will contain selections from the Renaissance, Baroque, Modern, Folk, and Jazz traditions. The hour-long program will contain a commentary so that the music should be engaging and interesting to all.

The concert is directed by Dr. Kevin Kelly, director of music at the Athens Presbyterian Church. Dr. Kelly also directs the Athens Chamber Singers who have performed in Washington several times in the past.

The Washington-Wilkes Arts Foundation is coordinating this event with Peggy Barnett, Dr. Kelly's aunt.
