Be wealthy
By GARY TOOLE
In my ministry by being able to go to different churches it has been a real learning process for me and it never ceases to amaze me of all the stuff I hear that's just not truthful.

It may sound biblical and they can put up a good argument, but it just doesn't gee haw when it comes to the reality of everyday living. They make God and Christian living out to be something that it is just not. By the way, God uses common sense too! Some of them don't know what it is.

Anyway, it gives me a lot to write about in hopes that someone reads it because in these last days the devil is using every tool at his disposal to deceive folks; to confuse them and abuse them. That's his job.

A small town preacher that's trying to be like the big time prosperity preachers had some folks just eating out of the palm of his hand. He was feeding them part truth and part cheap psychology and they were just eating it up as we used to say, "bloodhound raw." I sat there and while I was not buying it I was doing research.

Some of what he said is true; "Give and it shall be given unto you," but nowhere in the Bible did God promise to make everyone rich. Even Jesus said that the poor are always with us. Now, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't try to do better. But please don't try and feed me a bunch of manmade bull. God just isn't in the fairy tale business.

You are not going to be wealthy just because you give to God. Now, God will bless you and bless you indeed, but His greatest blessings are priceless and have no monetary value. This flash in the pan preacher said that it was not the love of money that was the problem, but rather the lack of it. Rev. Ike back in the 1960s wore that out.

We know we all need money but we don't all need to be rich. Further more, I am rich because I am a son of God and He owns it all, but my greatest treasures are not down her, but they are rather where my heart is and that is in Heaven.
