New York Giant speaks to W-W students
New York Giant Gerris Wilkinson, grandson of Washington's Pie Wilkinson, spoke last week to assemblies at all four Washington-Wilkes schools, including W-W Elementary School (above) where he told students to stay in school, to stay away from drugs, and to obey their parents. The 6'4" linebacker was a Georgia Tech standout and was selected in the third round of the 2006 NFLdraft. He was All-Academic at Tech and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelors degree in management, and is working on a second degree.
