Winery owners visit Kiwanis Club
Beau and Toni Courson, owners of Courson's Winery in Sparta, Georgia, were the guest speakers at the regular meeting of the Washington Kiwanis Club on Tuesday, March 20. The Coursons operate their small, familyowned winery and candle company which began in 2002 and now produces about 3,000 gallons, in 50-gallon batches, of various fruit favored wines each year. They discussed the techniques they employ in making their wines and offered a wine tasting session after the meeting. The Reverend Bill Boyd (right) was program host for the day.
