Gresham-Saggus Women on Mission members meet Mar. 9

The Rhetta Gresham-Terry Bennett Saggus Women on Mission met in the Jesse Mercer Chapel of the First Baptist Church Friday, March 9.

Gladys Reese, facilitator, welcomed members and opened the meeting with prayer. Members repeated the WMU Watchword.

During the business meeting reports were given and members voted to make gifts to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and Penfield Christian Home.

Helen Miller, assisted by June Chafin, presented the program, "America - Land of Promise" from "Mosaic." Mrs. Miller closed the program with prayer.

Also remembered during the meeting were the eight missionary couples serving on the North American Mission Board and being especially remembered during the eight days of the Week of Prayer for North American Missions.

Mrs. Reese led the missionary prayer calendar remembering those with birthdays on March 9. Mabel Johnson offered the closing prayer for these missionaries and those with special needs in the community.

Present were Helen Miller, Gladys Reese, Mabel Johnson and June Chafin.
