Andrew Meech christened at First United Methodist
After the service, Andrew's parents entertained at a luncheon at their home on Eastholm Circle. Guests enjoyed honey baked ham, potato salad, deviled eggs, green beans, squash casserole, congealed salad and rolls. For dessert guests were served blueberry cobbler and ice cream. Those attending with Andrew and his parents were grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Sisson; uncle, John Sisson; uncle, aunt and cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Powell, Mallory and Madison; and his honorary grandmother, Mrs. Emmett Edwards. Others attending the christening ceremony were his great-uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Henry McAvoy; also, Mrs. John Broadnax of Athens.
A special memento was a christening gown worn by Dr. Joseph Barnett Ray, great-great-grandfather of Andrew, and his maternal grandmother, Nancy Ray Sisson.
