Let's get all of our yards cut and the streets clean. ..I can tell while walking that spring is definitely here when I see campers being loaded up, yard sales, and the wonderful fragrance of the blooming wisteria. The beautiful Bradford pear trees still fool me. They are wonderful to look at as long as you are a distance from them. They have an awful odor. I almost forgot to say another evidence of spring is that yellow pollen that is all over everything. I don't remember having the problem with pollen when I was a child, but I know we must have had it. One tree that I miss seeing as an adult is the Chinaberry tree. Those were the best trees to climb - that is, for everyone else to climb. I wasn't in to climbing trees. I just remember seeing my sister Kay in the top of many trees, but not me. I was too chicken! ..Visiting Myrline Thornton from Monday through Thursday of last week was Mrs. Amy Paul of Oxford, Michigan.
