Happy Spring! Isn't it nice to see the budding of the trees, pretty flower, and the sunshine. It got kind of hot Saturday (82 degrees) and Sunday here in Aonia. Of course, with spring we endure the pollen and it's awful. Everyone seems to have a cough, cold, hoarseness, etc. It's kind of hard to get rid of whatever "it" is. ..Along with G.B., I have been a little under the weather. I spent several days in the hospital recently. I came home not knowing my diagnosis. It was not my heart. I'm thankful for that. I've also missed several Sundays of church. ..Ebenezer Baptist Church held conference after the service Sunday. I heard it went well. ..Rebecca Phillips of Conyers spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. David Harris at Danburg and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Phillips. ..Stephanie Haynes, Chip and Skyla of Washington spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Phillips.

..Miss Grace Dunaway and Alex Dunaway had supper with Mr. and Mrs. Troy Brown last week. Tommy Dunnaway and Bobbi Thornton visited Grace and Alex last week. ..Along with my mother, Mrs. Henry Wallace of Lincoln County, I drove to McCormick, S.C., to pick up my sister, Nan Goff, and we visited my aunt, Mrs. Lois Holliday, Miriam Hughes, Margaret Wilburn, and Dorothy Holliday in Laurens, S.C., last Thursday. We had a wonderful dinner and also got to visit with my aunt's pastor. ..Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Dunnaway were Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Holt and girls of Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Holt and boys and Mr. and Mrs. Wade Dunnaway. Tommy and Wade have been sick also with "it." ..Cassie Goldman and Bryson Taylor spent the weekend with Deanne Johnson in Hull. ..Sara Huff is still not feeling too well. Her visitors have been Randy Goldman, Connie and Misty Johnson of Lincoln County, Linda Standard, Peyton Standard of Augusta, Aubrye Walker, and two of her friends, Haley and Odell of Athens, and Sherry Newsome. ..Jo Cofer McNair of Wrens and Katie Lane Cofer of Thomson visited Mrs. Jenelle C. Newsome Friday afternoon. Jo and Katie had been to Athens to visit Patricia and Doug Matthews. Doug is very ill at this time. He is in ICU at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens. ..Happy birthday to all who are celebrating this week. We wish you many more. ..I spent several days in Augusta last week. I visited at University Hospital and it is full. I heard that several of the hospitals did not have room on the floors for other patients and they were being kept in various places, such as ER, etc., until they could get a room. ..We extend our prayers and sympathy to all who recent lost loved ones. ..Our prayer concerns include Douglas Matthews, Linda Albea (surgery), Willie Ruth Freeman, Jimmie Lou Benton, Jenelle Newsome, Dot Shank, Ethel Harris, Pete Strother, Lois South, Rev. Ray Brown, June Harris, Sara Huff, Pete Hardy, Virginia Ledbetter, Cehry Spires, Frank and Frances Moon, Ann Garrard Mansur, Jerry Stover, Jonathan Chapman (Iraq), Wylie Dallas, Maude Griffith, Allen Thurmond, Hollis Winn (loss of his brother), Joe Griffin, Henrietta Leard, Libby Ivey, Oliver Gill, Genelle Gill, Datez Turmon, Chris McAvoy, Thomas Wheatley, Tommy Wheatley, Marjorie Tyler, Virginia McClearen, James McClearen, Mary McClearen, Suzette Kopecky, David Thornton, Marguerite Thornton, Grace Hendry, Gary Rogers, Billy Bailey, Barry Bailey, Frances Taylor, Irene Swann, Bill Niemann, Wade Palmer, G.B.
