Get tickets now for Hillary Lindsey benefit concert set for Sat., April 28 at Washington Country Club

More than 300 tickets have already been sold to hear Hillary Lindsey, Washington's own Grammywinning songwriter, in concert on Saturday night, April 28, and a CD of her music will soon be available.

"Hillary has compiled a CD of her most notable songs," said organizer Debbie Wells, "like the Grammywinning 'Jesus Take the Wheel' and hits like 'Blessed' and 'This One's for the Girls,' and some songs that have never been heard before. The CDs will arrive in Washington in mid-April, and the Washington- Wilkes Arts Foundation is offering them for $16 each. You can pre-pay to guarantee you'll receive one, as the quantity and time they'll be available is limited."

Tickets will be on sale this Friday night next to the Chamber of Commerce on The Square. The concert is set for 8 p.m. Saturday night, April 28 at the Washington-Wilkes Country Club. Tickets are $6 for lawn seats and $20 for tent seats. "We have limited table seating available, too," she said, "Call us for information and pricing."

"We're so pleased that Hillary Lindsey will headline the Washing- ton-Wilkes Festival of Music and Art to benefit music in the schools," said Wells, "And I hope we can fit in everybody who wants to come see her."

By Hillary's request, the Washington Wilkes Art Foundation will use all proceeds of the event to purchase instruments for the Washington Wilkes Middle School band.

Tickets can be purchased at www.washington-wilkes-artfoundation. org, by calling Wells at 706-318-8190, or by e-mail at Washingtonarts@gmail.com.

Sponsors for the event include Dycom, Farmers & Merchants Bank, The Fitzpatrick Hotel, Mike Reese and family, and Washington Cellular.
