Mr. and Mrs. Greg Denard of Washington announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth, to James David Bridges, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Bridges of Washington and Mrs. Christopher Gunn of Augusta.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Aage Hoffman and the late Mr. Hoffman and Mr. and Mrs. Randall Denard of Washington.

Miss Denard is a 2004 graduate of Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School and is employed by Farmers and Merchants Bank in Washington.

Mr. Bridges is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Simon Bridges of Washington.

He is a 2000 graduate of Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School and is employed by Pliant Corporation in Washington.

The wedding is planned for Sunday, June 3, at 5 p.m. at the Washington Chapel in Washington.
