Gilland named to All-Northeast Georgia team
Tyson Gilland, who finished fourth in the state in his weight class, has been named to the All-Northeast Georgia Wrestling first team by the Athens Banner-Herald. Gilland, a junior in the 135-pound class was cited by the newspaper's Mat Master, who said, "Gilland finished fourth at the Class AA meet and won Area 2-AA. He went 52-3 with 38 pins." He was the only Tiger named to the team. John Lovvorn, also a junior, received "honorable mention" at 119 pounds for his second place finish in Area 2-AA.
