God will and won't
By GARY TOOLE
I know that's a strange title, but it is true. God will do the impos sibilities in our lives. He will do miracles in our lives - little miracles and big ones; ones only He can perform by His hands and ones that He performs through the hands of man.

But let us always remember that God won't do for us what He gives us the power, the ability and the sense to do for ourselves.

You can pray and prayer is good and prayer is the key to all God's goodness and blessings, but like one lady said, "After you pray then you have got to put legs to your prayers." God works with and through people, His wonders to perform.

There is a time to die. That means that we will all face death unless Jesus returns while you are living, but we can shorten or lengthen our lives. So God will protect and His angels do encamp around about those who love and fear and serve God, but we must also do for ourselves - take care of ourselves.

God is not our 365 days a year babysitter or nursemaid. Stay safe. Play safe. Safety first. When you are riding along if you even think someone is going to pull out in front of you then be smart and blow your horn. That's what it's for. It's a safety device. Not a toy. You are saving your life and theirs.

Keep deer whistles on the bumper of your car. Keep them washed out with a water hose. They do work and they can save your life. Keep your smoke detectors working in your home. When they are chirping then they need the battery replaced. They will save your life.

Just a few things that we have the power, the ability, and the sense to do for ourselves. Can you say amen?
