Crack sales arrests lead roundup of March law enforcement action Two Crawfordville men were arrested for possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, and another is being sought by police. Washington Police Investigator Joe Nelson said that when Sgt. Harry Noble stopped Richard P. Manago, 26, of Crawfordville, for a traffic violation early Saturday morning, a passenger fled the scene. With the assistance of other officers, Noble removed Manago and another passenger from the car and conducted a search of the car. The search found a quantity of crack cocaine, and both men were placed under arrest. Nelson said that another arrest was expected in the case. Manago is charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute; driving under the influence; driving on a suspended license; driving with no insurance; and driving without current plates. He is held on $57,500 bond. The passenger, identified as Dennis P. Thornton, 25, of Crawfordville, was charged with one count of felony possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute. He is held on $50,000 bond. In a roundup of other law enforcement action during the month of March, the following arrests were recorded at the Cecil Moore Law Enforcement Center: Tokyo Cofer, 26, of Washington, was arrested March 31 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving under the influence and with driving on a revoked or suspended license. He was held on $3,000 bond. Jeffery Harris, 40, of Lincolnton, was arrested March 31 by Washington Police and charged with driving under the influence and with driving on a revoked or suspended license. He was held on $5,000 bond. Brandon Jerral Flint, 17, of Washington, was arrested March 29 by Washington Police and charged with one count of burglary. He was held on $8,000 bond. Zachariah Richard Barnett, 29, of Lincolnton, was arrested March 31 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving with an open container of alcohol, and with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. No bond was noted. Paul Mickel McKittrick Jr., 26, of Wilkes Co., was arrested March 27 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana; possession of drug-related objects; and with a traffic charge. He was held on $7,000 bond. John David Dye, 27, of Wilkes Co., was arrested March 27 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with theft by taking. No bond was noted. William August Schmitz, 25, of Lincolnton, was arrested March 27 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana; and with possession of drug-related objects. He was held on $6,500 bond. Joshua Ryan Hunnicut, 21, of Tignall, was arrested March 24 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was released on $3,000 bond. Clarence L. Ashmore Jr. 40, of Tignall, was arrested March 24 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving under the influence and with a traffic charge. He was held on $1,750 bond. Megan Lynn Waters, 19, of Tignall, was arrested March 24 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance; and with felony violation of the original container drug law. She was released on $4,000 bond. Archie Demarcus Acree III, 30, of Washington, was arrested March 25 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with speeding and with driving on a revoked or suspended license. He was released on $2,000 bond. Miguel Chavez Medina, 28, of Dale, Ga., was arrested March 24 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with driving under the influence; and with speeding. He was released on payment of $821 cash bond. Rogelio Eligio Uscanga, 33, of Lincolnton, was arrested March 24 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving under the influence and with a traffic charge. He was released on payment of a cash fine. Debra B. Mills, 47, of Washington, was arrested March 23 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with deposit account fraud. She was released on payment of a $329 cash fine. Bryan Roger Ward, 41, of Athens, was arrested March 18 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving under the influence; speeding 73 in a 55; and with violation of the open container law. He was held on $2,500 bond. Henry Will Turner, 56, of Lincolnton, was arrested March 17 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with speeding; driving under the influence; and violation of the open container law. He was held on $1,116 bond. Ronelle Rashid Lazenby, 17, of Lincolnton, was arrested March 16 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with simple assault. He was held on $3,500 bond. King Brown, 19, of Wilkes Co. was arrested March 14 by Washington Police and charged with three counts of entering an automobile with intent of felony. He was held on a probation violation. Charles Ernie Reed Jr., 28, of Union Point, was arrested March 13 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with speeding 77 in a 55 zone; and with driving on a revoked or suspended license. He was released on $2,000 bond. Josefina Rameres, 34, of Wilkes Co. was arrested by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with driving with no proof of insurance; and with violation of a license requirement. She was released on $590 bond. Santiago Rene Claver, 27, of Wilkes Co. was arrested March 10 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with felony driving under the influence; driving with no proof of insurance; driving without current license plates; and with a driver license violation. He was released on $1,538 cash fine. Fredricus T. Brittian, 26, of Washington, was arrested March 9 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license and violation of the window tint law. He was released on $2,000 bond. Paul Epps, 18, of Washington, was arrested March 9 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with five counts of deposit account fraud. He was held on $1,002 bond. Saintwan Roberts, 18, of Washington, was arrested March 6 by Washington Police and charged with alteration of license plates; driving with no proof of insurance; driving without current license plates; and with a driver license violation. He was held on $1,728 cash fine. Vernon James Hardin, 23, of Augusta, was arrested March 5 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license and with speeding. He was released on $1,492 cash bond. Montoya Jackson, 24, of Washington, was arrested March 3 by Washington Police and charged with cruelty to children. No bond was noted. Chico Belafonte Scott, 42, of Athens, was arrested March 3 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with driving on a suspended license. He was released on $715 cash bond.
