Donna Hardy attends leadership training for commissioners

Wilkes County Commissioner Donna Hardy attended the Association County Commissioners of Georgia CCAP Leadership Institute in Athens last week.

The three-day Leadership Institute, co-sponsored by ACCG and the University of Georgia's Carl Vinson Institute of Government, featured nationally recognized training development consultants and speakers. Participants also engaged in roleplaying exercises designed to cultivate and enhance leadership skills.

"We commend Commissioner Hardy for attending this program," said ACCG Executive Director Jerry Griffin. "The Leadership Institute is an outstanding program and widely acknowledged as one of the best of its type in the country. We highly recommend it to any county official who wants to be a more effective community leader."

Based in Atlanta, ACCG is a voluntary, non-profit organization that provides legislative advocacy, educational, employee benefit and consulting services to Georgia's counties.
