Peggy Pauline Smith

Graveside services for Peggy Pauline Smith, 65, were held Friday, March 23, 2007, at City West Cemetery, Washington, with Rev. Samuel Duggan officiating. She died March 18.

She was a native of Wilkes County and the daughter of the late Paul Appling and the late Lena Sims Appling. She was a member of the Greater Level HIll Baptist Church where she served as an usher. She was the widow of Leroy Smith.

Survivors include three sons, Kelvin, Cary, and Guy; six children of Leroy Smith, Charee Benson, Mary Delora Binns, Roger Smith, Lee Perry Callaway, Valerie Harris, and Erick Harris; a devoted grandson, Markey Smith; and other grandchildren.

Grandson served as pallbearers.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
