Thornton, Lewis honored at lawn, garden shower

Engaged couple Daisy Thornton and Benji Lewis, were honored at a lawn and garden shower on Sunday afternoon, March 11, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Hearney in Statesboro. Joining Mr. and Mrs. Hearney in entertaining were Mr. and Mrs. Steve Akin, Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Forney, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Dockery, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Owens and Mr. and Mrs. David Tucker, all of the Statesboro area.

In keeping with the beach theme of the festivities, the bride-elect wore pink Capri pants and a black top.

A delicious barbecue was enjoyed with all the trimmings.

The couple was presented a Lowe's gift card by their hosts.

Seventy guests were invited. Special guests included the prospective bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jan Price, and grandmother, Mrs. Bobbie Lamb, all of Statesboro.
