Altenese Latrice Walton to marry Jeremiah Durand Samuel July 14

Altenese Latrice Walton Jeremiah Durand Samuel

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Walton of Washington announce the engagement of their daughter, Altenese Latrice, to Jeremiah Durand Samuel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Augusta Willington Samuel III of Detroit, Mich.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Tommie Lue Walton and the late Ellis Walton of Tignall and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Callaway of Washington.

She is a 2003 graduate of Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School and a 2006 graduate of Athens Technical College where she earned a diploma in Cosmetology. Miss Walton is employed at the J. C. Penney Hair Salon in Athens.

Mr. Samuel is the grandson of Mrs. Victoria Samuel and the late Augusta Samuel II of Detroit, Mich., and Elizabeth Green of Farockaway, N.Y., and the late Jeremiah Brundage of Sparta.

He is a 2002 graduate of Kettering High School in Detroit, Mich., and is employed at Baldor Electric of Athens.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 14, at 3 p.m. at Gibson Grove Baptist Church with a reception to follow at Washington-Wilkes Country Club in Washington.
