Brandon Ivey celebrates birthday with family, friends
Brandon Nickalaus Ivey, son of Arthur and Bertrina Ivey, was five years old on March 25, and was honored on several occasions.

Brandon was surprised to be featured on the Channel 12 Birthday Club on Friday morning.

That afternoon Brandon and his class at Washington-Wilkes Elementary School enjoyed Lightning McQueen and Mater cupcakes, Cheetos and Hawaiian Punch.

On Saturday Brandon enjoyed a trip to Chuck E Cheese where he and his guests were treated to numerous games, fun and food. His birthday cake was a Disney "Cars" cupcake cake with a Lightning McQueen racecar on top.

Celebrating with Brandon and his parents were special friends, Debargia, Sia and Nicholas Cofer.

Sunday Brandon enjoyed a special birthday breakfast prepared by his mother and received a special phone call from SpongeBob Squarepants wishing him "Happy Birthday".

Later on Sunday afternoon Brandon was treated to a cookout at his home with his parents. Others celebrating with Brandon and his parents were his grandmothers, Dinah Harris and Annie Ivey; great-uncle and aunt, Enoch and Leah Shakespeare; also Debargia, Sia, Jaden and Nicholas Cofer. All enjoyed barbecued chicken, ribs, smoked sausages, hot dogs, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, potato chips and birthday cake.
