We enjoyed a nice Easter weekend. It started with church, then to Lincolnton to my parents' home for a family get-together. We ended up with 20 of us which was a nice crowd. Everyone cooked and carried their favorite dishes. Of course, my mother had cooked enough for an army. She just can't seem to "mind" us kids and not prepare so much on Saturday and Sunday. It was so good and nice to see other family members. ..Ebenezer Baptist Church held Easter sunrise services at 7:15 a.m. but in the church because it was so cold. Breakfast was cooked and served in the fellowship area. About 57 attended. Sunday School was held at 10 a.m. and preaching at 11 a.m. We probably had about 90 for the 11 a.m. service. The flowers were pretty but I do not know who placed them in the church. ..Mrs. Mona Hall is our homebound member of the month. She is Phyllis Marett's mother and makes her home at Washington Manor.
