Ninth Pro Rodeo set for April 20-21 in Union Point

The ninth annual Pro Rodeo sponsored by the Greene County Livestock Association and 4-H Club, will be held at the Union Point Rodeo Grounds Friday and Saturday, April 20 and 21.

Gates will open at 6 p.m. and the bucking begins at 8 p.m. Concession stands will be available for those who want to eat on the grounds. All proceeds will benefit both of these youth organizations as well as Relay for Life.

Saturday night there will be two extra special happenings - pony rides for the children and the "Committee Challenge." Local Greene County Rodeo Committee members will team up and rope one steer per team. The team with the fastest time will then test its skills against one of the world champion teams competing at the rodeo.

Adult tickets are $10.00; children 6-12 are $5.00; and children ages five and under are free. The rain date is 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 22.
