McCormick Lions will host golf tourney at Hickory Knob park

The McCormick County Lions Club, McCormick, S.C., will hold its annual golf tournament on Wednesday, May 2, at Hickory Knob State Park.

The format will be Captain's Choice/Shotgun Start at 1:30 p.m. with lots of tournament and raffle prizes for red, white, and gold tee players. The $50 per person entry fee includes drinks and a steak cookout at the Barn following play. Nonplayers are also invited to attend the cookout at a cost of $12 per person.

All proceeds from this event will enable the Lions Club to continue its vital services which include conducting bi-monthly eye clinics, providing glasses for the needy, supporting the Leader Dog for the Blind Program and the Storm Eye Research Institute, and aiding several local charities in their work.

For more information or to obtain an entry form, interested persons should call Lyn Bourne at 864-391- 4239. Entry forms are also available in the Lincolnton area at the Rocky Branch Golf Club and Spratlin's Hardware.
