Board honors Young Georgia Authors The Wilkes County Board of Education recognized the winners of the Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition at Monday night's meeting. Winning certificates and savings bonds were (front l-r) Megan Hunter, Roderick Brown, Nailah Jones, John David Bailey; (second row) Kasey Gowen, District winner Lauren Roberts, Katie Trimm, Hayley Colvard, District winner Brittany Guin, Michael Ardister; (third row) Wright Gunter, Rhonda Turner, and Brandon Freeman. Not present were Hunter Jackson and Patrick Burns.
