Mass food distribution set for next Wednesday for Wilkes Co. low-income and elderly families

The CSRA Economic Opportunity Authority Inc. will have a mass food distribution in Wilkes County on Wednesday, April 25, at the Washington-Wilkes Parks and Recreation Department.

The food will be available from 10:30 a.m. until all the food is gone, and is for low-income and elderly persons, serving a total of 125 families in Wilkes County. The food will include fruits, vegetables, canned meats, and juices.

Each family will be provided one bag of food on a first-come, firstserved basis. Persons wishing to receive food must bring a picture identification and know their household size (number living the home) and the monthly income for the family.
