WMH Auxiliary ladies attend E. Central District Meeting in Greensboro on April 9

Six ladies from the Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary participated in the East Central District Meeting at Harbor Club in Greensboro Monday, April 9.

The Minnie G. Boswell Hospital Auxiliary was host for the spring meeting and greeted attendees as they arrived for registration.

Prior to the call to order, a time of fellowship was enjoyed in the beautiful Harbor dining area as hot coffee and fresh pastries were served.

Ann Jones, East Central District Director, called the meting to order and Deedy Lewis, president of the Minnie G. Boswell Hospital Auxiliary, welcomed all participants. Following the traditional roll call by Bill Jones, co-director of the East Central District, members received greetings from President Barbara Tumperi.

A lively discussion time of sharing "Ideas That Work……." was held prior to the main program.

Dr. Bo Cheves, guest speaker, was introduced by Minnie G. Boswell Hospital Auxiliary President Deedy Lewis. Dr. Cheves inspired volunteers as he shared his mission and ministry in Livingston, Zambia. A slide presentation and informational brochures enhanced Dr. Cheves' program.

A delicious meal of chicken and tuna salad garnished with fresh fruit followed by a dessert of cheesecake was enjoyed by auxiliary members.

Those attending from Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary were Bobbie Ann Griffin, Oleta McAvoy, Lefreda Adair, Margaret Norris, Kay Nelms and Sandy Burton who was thrilled to win one of the coveted door prizes.
