Bertie Lee Adkins Clayton Graveside services for Bertie Lee Adkins Clayton, 92, of Claxton were held Friday, April 13, 2007, in Resthaven Cemetery, Washington, with Rev. Peter G. Rambo and Rev. Christopher C. Carter officiating. She died April 10. Mrs. Clayton was a native of Dublin and the daughter of the late Julius M. and Mamie Adkins. She was a retired buyer for a clothing store. She was a member of Countryside Baptist Church in Guyton. Mrs. Clayton was the widow of Marvin C. Clayton. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Marvin R. and Joan Clayton of Washington; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann C. and David C. Turner, Pembroke; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers included James R. Clayton, Stephen A. Murray, Don R. Murray Jr., Barry S. Turner, Elton H. Brown, and William R. Walker. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, Washington, Building Fund, P.O. Box 603, Washington, GA 30673.
Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
