The home of Mary McPherson on the Thomson Road was the scene of the quarterly luncheon of several ladies of the Washington-Wilkes High School Class of l959-60 on Saturday, April 14.

Red and white were used in decorating for the luncheon that featured a covered dish buffet of baked ham, salads, vegetables, homemade biscuits and cornbread muffins.

During the afternoon a discussion was held in regards to another class reunion and Joyce Holloway was commended by the ladies for all her efforts to keep the class in touch with each other.

Joining Mrs. McPherson were Jo McNair, Linda Standard, Melanie Sammons, Joyce Holloway, Shirley Crook, Sue Davis and Charlene Street. In honor of Mrs. McNair's return, she received one of Mrs. McPherson's oil paintings of pink Japanese magnolias. This presentation was in place of one of the usual drawings for a painting.

The quarterly gathering is open to all the ladies of the class. The next luncheon will be Saturday, July 14, at the McPherson home at 12 o'clock noon. Ladies are encouraged to come, bring a covered dish and join the fun.
