Sydney McBride celebrates fourth birthday Mar. 17

Sydney McBride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mel McBride of Marietta, celebrated her fourth birthday on St. Patrick's Day, March 17.

Sydney celebrated with her classmates at Due West United Methodist Preschool on Friday with a balloon cookie cake.

She also celebrated with her classmates at the Tumblebus Station on Saturday morning. The children enjoyed the gym, tumbling and playing different games together. Charlotte's Web cake and vanilla ice cream were served. After opening gifts, Sydney took pictures with her different friends. Goody bags filled with lollipops, small toys, and St. Patty's Day necklaces were given as treats.

After her party with classmates at the Tumblebus Station, Sydney continued the celebration at her house with family and close friends. Guests enjoyed hamburgers and also chicken salad made by her greataunt, Cheryl Flocker of Atlanta, chips and dips. Her great-grandmother, Mrs. Joe Flocker of Washington, made her famous chocolate cake and topped it with a "4." Sydney's sister, Mackenzie, made a delicious St. Patrick's Day punch.

The children enjoyed playing outside in the playhouse and sandbox.

Sydney received a special birthday call from her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Pembroke Pope of Washington.

Celebrating with Sydney and her parents were her brother, Luke; sister, Mackenzie; grandparents, Mrs. Faye Pope of Lavonia and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin McBride of Lyons; great-grandmother, Mrs. Joe Flocker of Washington; great-aunts, Cheryl Flocker and Kathy Flocker of Atlanta; uncle, aunt and cousin, Mr. and Mrs. Pembroke Pope and Jackson of Canton; Joseph Whitaker and Charity Register of Atlanta, Darryl, Dawson and Dixon Riggins of Chattanooga, Tenn., Mr. and Mrs. Dee Bentley and Brynnlee of Lincolnton, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Hendrix of Anderson, S.C., Mr. and Mrs. Dale Crawley, Benjamin and Ethan, of Kennesaw and Stephanie and Hannah Busbee of Canton.
