Father, son run well in Athens
Jeff (left) and Boone Lukich both competed at the sixth Annual Junkyard Jog 5K and 1-mile Little Landfill Cross Country Runs last Saturday. The event was held at the Athens-Clarke County Landfill with proceeds of the race benefitting Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful. It was Boone's first 1-mile race and he finished in first place in the boys' division with a time of 8:45. Jeff was seventh of 105 partipants with a time of 21:28, placing second in his age group.
