Customer-Driven Quality courses offered at the W-W Chamber of Commerce in May The Washington-Wilkes Chamber of Commerce will be offering a sixweek course in Customer-Driven Quality for employees, managers, supervisors, and owners of Wilkes County businesses. "Customer satisfaction can make or break a business today - competition is fierce," said Chamber Executive Director Donna Hardy. "Businesses fight to attract new customers and retain the old ones. The business that provides the highest quality will succeed." With this in mind, she said, the Chamber is offering a six-week course on Customer-Driven Quality which begins Monday, May 14. "This introductory course may lead to interest in other courses for organizations, and depending on the interest, we will be willing to arrange specific training through other organizations." The course is limited to the first 25 paid participants, she said. "This is hands-on training," Hardy said. "You actually practice the concepts you learn during the sessions - it's not just a lecture." The cost for the course is $25 per person, which includes all course materials. A discount is available for multiple attendees from a single company. The first session, Monday, May 14 at 8 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce, will cover "What is 'Customer Driven Quality' and why create an excellent customer experience." Sessions follow once each week, mostly on Monday evenings, for the next five weeks, Hardy said. To reserve a place, bring cash or a check made payable to "Chamber of Commerce" to 29 W. Square in Washington, or mail a check to P.O. Box 661 Washington 30673. "We must have your payment to reserve your place - space is limited," Hardy said. "But if we need to, we'll schedule two sessions concurrently."
Having taught the course to more than 600 employees, managers, and supervisors all over the country, Hardy is a highly qualified and certified instructor in the field. Prior to coming to the Chamber, she worked in organizational development for 15 years for Champion International's Western Carolina Region.
