Edward Lanier Evans

Edward Lanier Evans, 69, of Washington, died April 8, 2007, in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Augusta. No memorial service is planned at this time.

Mr. Evans was a native of Taliaferro County and was the son of the late Carroll and Hattie Nunn Evans. He served in the United States Navy and was a retired truck driver for the dairy industry.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Evans, Augusta, and Timothy Evans, Walnut Creek, Calif.; three daughters, Debra Bailey, Elberton, Nina Mullican, Kenn, and Anna Vasquez of Kenn, Washington; a brother, David Hopkins of Crawfordville; and four grandchildren, Cynthia Evans, Amanda Bailey, Stephanie Hope Evans, and Christopher Sean Evans.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
