Lauren Denard entertained at miscellaneous shower Lauren Denard, bride-elect of David Bridges, was entertained at a miscellaneous bridal shower on Sunday, April 22, at the Washington Chapel. Hostesses for the occasion were Mrs. Jack Bentley Jr. and Mrs. Alan Poss. Miss Denard was presented a corsage of Alstroemeria lilies tied with pink ribbon to complement her twopiece ivory skirt ensemble. As guests arrived they signed the register at a table decorated with a white cloth and pink overlay. On the table was a crystal vase that held a beautiful arrangement of Rubrum lilies and green spider chrysanthemums along with an engagement picture of the prospective bride and bridegroom. Ferns were used to decorate the hall. The refreshment table, covered in white with a pink overlay, featured a large crystal vase of Rubrum lilies, green spider chrysanthemums, apple blossom snapdragons and green snowball. From the table guests enjoyed a delicious assortment of party foods that included chicken salad timbales, cake squares, cheese straws, assorted fruit with dip, pecan sandies, key lime cheese ball, toasted pecans, mints and punch. The hostesses presented the brideelect crystal toasting goblets.
Special guests included the brideelect's mother, Mrs. Greg Denard, and grandmothers, Mrs. Aage Hoffman and Mrs. Randall Denard; the prospective bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Tommy Bridges, and grandmothers, Mrs. Simon Bridges and Mrs. Renda Davis, all of Washington.
