W-W Garden Club meets on April 12 at N. Wilkes Library

The Washington-Wilkes Garden Club met Thursday, April 12, at North Wilkes Library in Tignall.

Mabel Johnson, president, welcomed members and led the Pledge to the Flag.

Following a short business meeting, Karen Stubbs, president of the Iris Garden Club and Azalea District, Garden Club of Georgia Inc., Butterfly Chairman, gave an informative program on butterflies. Included in her presentation were the different plants that will attract butterflies. Mrs. Stubbs gave out flower seed packets at the end of her most enjoyable program.

Delicious refreshments were served by Mrs. Johnson, assisted by Pat Mack, from a table covered in white damask and decorated with a spring floral arrangement.

Present were Dr. Sophia Bamford, Paula Butts, Edna Lamar, Sally Kennedy, Pat Mack Sara Frances Henderson, Genevieve Thurmond, Becky Dixon, and Mabel Johnson.
