Ford Walker honored at 'Boys Only Camp Out'

Daniel Ford Walker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Walker of Danburg, celebrated his seventh birthday on March 24 and was honored several occasions.

On Sunday, March 25, Ford celebrated with family at his home. The children brought their bicycles and had fun riding together. Everyone enjoyed cake, ice cream, chips and fruit kabobs. Joining Ford and his parents were his sister, Olivia; brothers, Jackson and Wilkes; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Newsome, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Walker and Mrs. Rose Ware; Mr. and Mrs. Shane Moore, Lindsey and Walker, and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Caddell and Dixon.

Ford was also treated to a "Boys Only Camp Out" on Saturday, April 21. Everyone enjoyed hot dogs, chips and roasted marshmallows while sitting around the campfire built by his father. After a long walk in the dark with flashlights, each of the children settled into a sleeping bag in the tent. Warm biscuits and blueberry muffins were delivered to camp bright and early the next morning by his mother and brother, Wilkes.

Joining Ford were Walker Moore, Canaan Cranford, Connor Corbitt, Zach Stadler, Logan Wood, Quinn Mohr, Dillon Reese, Travis Pate, and Jesse Cushman.
