Tiger Tellers will perform May 10 for Friends of Library

The Washington-Wilkes Elementary School Tiger Tellers will perform at the Friends of the Library meeting on Thursday, May 10, at 3 p.m., in the Mary Willis Library Meeting Room.

Tiger Tellers are 20 students who are trained by their sponsor, Judy Coxwell, to present short fables and group stories. Mrs. Coxwell, the school's Media Specialist, states that the students are picked by audition and must maintain academic excellence and good behavior to be a part of this select group.

The Tiger Tellers have performed at local schools and civic clubs and will perform at Oglethorpe County Elementary School later this month. The group has been extended an invitation to the Athens Storytellers Festival.

Members and visitors are invited to be present for the business meeting and the program featuring these talented and charming young people. Refreshments will be served.
