Numerous drug, alcohol arrests lead roundup of April's law enforcement Drug arrests have occupied Wilkes County authorities more than usual in recent weeks. William Daniel Mason IV, 38, of Washington, was arrested by Wilkes County Sheriff's Investigator Jamie Bridges April 24 and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. He was also charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police officers, obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers, and driving on a revoked license. This is Mason's second recent arrest. He was arrested in March for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, but was released on bond. Now Mason is back in custody in Wilkes County, and Assistant District Attorney William Doupé has filed a motion to revoke his bond. A hearing on the motion is set for May 15. Doupé said he hopes to have the case ready for the Grand Jury in August. Other recent drug arrests include that of William Daniel Mason III, 61, of Washington, who was arrested April 19 on Beaverdam Road by Wilkes County deputies and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine; felony possession of a controlled substance; and felony violation of the drug container law. He is held on $33,000 bond. Russell L. Howard, 37, of Wilkes County, was arrested also April 19 on Beaverdam Road by Wilkes County deputies. He was charged with misdemeanor possession of dangerous drugs; and two misdemeanor violation of the drug container law. He is held on $16,000 bond. Jonathan Thomas Edwards, 23, of Washington, was arrested by Georgia State Patrol Trooper Delston Branch April 12 on Philomath Road. Edwards was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute; driving on a revoked license; driving with no proof of insurance; altering license plates; and a traffic charge. He was held on $50,000 bond. C.T. Hill, 52, of Wilkes County, was arrested April 14 on Harris Road by Wilkes County deputies and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute; possession of drug-related objects; and an equipment violation. He was held on $30,000 bond. Larry Wingfield, 48, of Washington, was arrested April 19 by Washington Police and charged with felony possession or sale of unstamped distilled spirits; one count of felony dealing alcoholic beverages without a license; one count of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance; and one count of felony transactions in drug-related objects. Petrina Ferrell, 34, of Washington, was arrested April 19 by Washington Police and charged with the sale of untaxed distilled spirits; and with obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers. She was released on $10,000 bond. In a roundup of other April arrests: Clifton Maddox, 30, of Tignall, was arrested April 29 by Washington Police and charged with disorderly conduct. He was released on $276 cash bond. Rudolph Whimbush, 21, of Tignall, was arrested April 27 by Tignall Police and charged with disorderly conduct with damage. He was held on $1,000 bond. Tequila Renice Allen, 18, of Thomson, was arrested April 24 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with one felony count of making false statements in state matters; and one count of false report of a crime. No bond was noted. Timothy R. Mickens, 35, of Washington, was arrested April 26 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with criminal trespass and with simple battery. He was released on $8,000 bond. Ruth Lavon Hurley, 40, of Rayle, was arrested April 24 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She was released on $5,000 bond. Michelle Ann Renew, 31, of Washington, was arrested April 24 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with speeding 74 in a 55 zone; driving with no proof of insurance; and violations of registration requirements and license requirements. She was released on $6,000 bond. Barry Maurice Barnes, 52, of Augusta, was arrested April 22 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with speeding 92 in a 55 zone, and with driving on a revoked or suspended license. He was released on payment of $1,010 cash fine. Hope Rhea Martin, 21, of Tignall, was arrested April 21 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with two counts of deposit account fraud. She was held on $8,000 bond. Josefina Ramirez, 34, of Wilkes County, was arrested April 18 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with operating a vehicle without a current plate; driving with no insurance; and a license violation. She was released on payment of a cash fine of $689. Carlos Wynn, 24, of Washington, was arrested April 18 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license; and with driving with no proof of insurance. He was released on $3,000 bond. John Patrick Short, 36, of Covington, was arrested April 14 at Phillips State Prison and charged with escape from the Wilkes Pre- Release Unit. He was held. Roger Ramos, 41, of Waynesboro, Ga., was arrested April 13 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with possession of marijuana and with violation of the open container law. He was released on $750 bond. Kimbila Evette Blackwell, 30, of Elberton, was arrested April 14 by Washington Police and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, and with a traffic violation. She was released on $3,000 bond. Terrence Wingfield, 23, of Washington, was arrested April 5 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license. He was held on a parole violation. Dennis Blackmon, 23, of Washington, was arrested April 21 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol; and with speeding. He was held on $793 bond. Misty Rolanda Hunnicutt, 32, of Tignall, was arrested April 7 by Washington Police and charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license, and with an equipment violation. She was released on $1,600 bond. Tonika S. Mahoney, 28, of Washington, was arrested April 6 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She was released on $3,500 bond. Brandon Kenneth Rogers, 19, of Wilkes County was arrested April 4 by Washington Police and charged with driving under the influence; simple possession of marijuana; and with a traffic violation. He was held on $3,500 bond. Alex Lamar Allen, 20, of Tignall, was arrested April 3 by Tignall Police and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license, and with a traffic charge. He was released on $1,700 bond. Saintwan Roberts, 18, of Washington, was arrested April 3 by Washington Police and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was released on $1,600 bond. Felicia Michele Cullars, 31, of Washington, was arrested April 2 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with aggravated stalking. No bond was noted. Arrested for probation violations in April were: Terry Moore, 49, of Washington; Tracy Lynn Cotton, 32, of Washington; Renarda Leann Curry, 48, of Washington; Matthew A.
