Mrs. Ann Williamson has a nice white cake plate and carrier cover that was left at Rock Methodist Church on the day of the memorial service for her son Seba. She would like to get it back to its rightful owner. If it is yours or you know who it beongs to please contact her at 706-274-3523. ..Hattie Lewis Sanford celebrated the big "60" birthday on Monday, April 16. Helping her celebrate with a party at her home were her mother, Sophie Lewis, and her three sisters, Lucy and Don Anderson, Delois and David Sewell, and Valerie Doubilet. ..Skip Padgett brought the message at Sardis Baptist Church Sunday morning. Monica Gunter led in some good old time singing with Pam Hall at the piano. Skip and Kathryn Padgett sang a beautiful song with Skip playing the guitar. The Lord's Supper was served by the deacons of the church. Cody Armour held children's church in the annext of the church. Brooke Berry was in charge of the nursery. Sardis holds prayer meeting at the Echols Home every Wednesday evening at 6:30. ..Bonnie Boatwright joined James and Kathleen Canup and Margaret Peterman of Lexington to go play bingo Tuesday at Wendy's in Elberton. ..Prayers continue for Doris Walker, Kathy Hendrix, Richard Byrd, Doris Walker, Sara Lamar, Loyd Smith, Evelene Mathews Moon, Millie Mansfield, Tim Hayes, Frances Vinson, Mablean Sherrer, Carla Thaxton Brown, Pete Hardy, Richard Burkett, debra Cato, Mike Woodall, Roberta Roper, Bonnie Huff Coile, Ellie Frey, Betsy Wynne, Betty Wynne, Pat Wynne, Gary Rogers, Mike Webb, Fred Scoggins, Bill Remsen, Bernice McAvoy, Joyce Bowen, Tom Bufford, Joe Bufford, Thomas Bunch, Pete Poss, Kathryn Padgett, Stephanie Chapman, Chris McAvoy, Leonard Fain, Hunter Boswell, Dorothy Callaway, Brent Sherrer, Marshall Sherrer, Priscilla Maxwell, and Bonnie Boatwright. ..Our prayers are for Doris Walker who is in the hospital in Athens with heart problems. ..James and Kathleen Canup treated Bonnie Boatwright out to lunch Thursday at Ryan's in Thomson. ..Dr. James McElhannon is here from California visiting his sisters, Ruby Arnold, Martha Williford, Sallie Mae Arnold, Faye Johnson, Dorothy Callaway, and Nell Hubbard, and other relatives. ..Ruth Flynt enjoyed going to Washington Tuesday night to watch her granddaughter, Taylor Roth of Oconee County, play in a softball game which was the winning team. ..Bonnie Boatwright's visitors during the week have been Ruth Arnold, Aaliya Berry, Johnny Boatwright, Lamar and Kay Berry and Try, Ruth Flynt and James and Kathleen Canup of Lexington. ..Mrs. Ann Williamson, Mrs. Sudie Kennedy, and Mrs. Mildred Sisson attended the Relay for Life Cancer Survivors Dinner and festivities Saturday evening at the First Shiloh Center in Washington. Everyone received T-shirts, tote bags, and other gifts. .. Angela Armour and Hunter, Samantha Armour, Will Callaway, Scott and Sissy Smith, Abby and T.J., Zack Smith, Richard and Lou Heard, Mattie and Hank, were Sunday guests of Buck and Linda Echols. ..Vickie Sisson Davis of Toccoa visited Mrs. Carl Sisson and others in Washington-Wilkes last Tuesday. ..Johnny Shedd attended the birthday party for his grandson, Morgan Shedd, Sunday afternoon. ..Marion and Millie Mansfield visited Johnny and Kathryn Shedd Sunday afternoon. ..Ann Wideman visited Miss Emily Rorie at the Echols Home during the week. She also visited Betty and Gene Winfrey. George and Ann's visitors Sunday were James, David, and Mathew, and David's friend, Patricia. ..I would like to thank each of you who have been remembering J.W. and me in your thoughts and prayers and with cards.
