Concert composite will further benefit band programs

Images from last Saturday's benefit concert at the Washington- Wilkes Country Club have been assembled into a composite photograph by Mercer Harris honoring Hillary Lindsey and her generosity to the W-W band programs. As seen oversized below, the composite is being offered for sale as a further benefit to the bands.

The photos are available at the Washington-Wilkes Chamber of Commerce and are eight inches wide by 12 inches tall. The price is $20 per print, all of which will be donated for the purchase of band instruments.

Though not presently available, a limited number of prints autographed by Lindsey is expected to be sold for a slightly higher price.

It is estimated that about 1,000 people attended the benefit concert to hear the Grammy Award winner perform many of the songs she has written including the No. 1 Country hits, "Blessed," "This One's for the Girls," and "Jesus Take the Wheel."

Also available at the Chamber and other locations around town is Lindsey's CD of 17 of her own songs performed by her. The price is $16 and proceeds also go to the band program.
