Chapman receives top awards at ABAC Leadership Banquet

Jason Chapman of Washington- Wilkes received several awards at the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) Annual Student Leadership Banquet held Thursday, April 19, on the campus.

He received the Pacesetter Award that is given to a faculty member and student who have had the greatest impact on the college during the past year.

He was also named to Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges; and to Who's Who at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Both are prestigious awards.

As 2006-2007 president of the ABAC Student Government Association, Jason presided during the program and welcomed all those in attendance. He also made several presentations and announced the president and vice-president of the 2007-2008 Student Government Association.

Jason is the son of Stephanie and Larry Chapman of Washington- Wilkes and is a graduate of Wash- ington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School.

He will graduate May 3 from ABAC with an associate degree in Animal Science. He will be a student at the University of Georgia in the fall.
